Please Read This Carefully:These types of LED badges have been used to predict a forced card before, but I wanted to create a trick with one that was a true mystery, even to other magicians. Please don't pass this up without reading the effect. The card is not only unforced, but the procedure is especially clean.
Effect: You are wearing an LED badge with four flashing question marks. You say you are going to lock in a prediction. You push a button on the badge and the question marks stop flashing. A deck of cards is introduced and shown to be well mixed. You demonstrate that the spectator will cut the cards to wind up at a random starting point in the deck. They will then deal cards face up until at some point they place one card face down to the side. They have seen each different card dealt face up, have stopped when they wanted, and even they don't know the identity of the face down card. You remove the badge and tell them you will start the badge's message scrolling and then slow it down slightly so that it's readable. (absolutely true and has nothing to do with the trick) The message starts, states it won't cut away, even mentions that it will be slowed slightly. More importantly it then states that the prediction is locked and the card is...and names the card. Only then is the face down card they stopped at turned over, and it matches the prediction!
The badge is a natural conversation starter. If you're wearing it with the flashing question marks, someone will naturally ask about it. There is even a way to put your own custom messages in it (two, and still do the trick). It fastens to your clothes magnetically so there are no pins to worry about. Of course you can just present it without wearing it at all. It comes with badge, special deck of cards (instructions are included for doing it with a regular deck), a carrying pouch, an extra battery, original product instructions for manual programming features, and DVD demo and instruction.
